65 | City of Pleasanton 2023-2031 Housing Element <br />Program 7.3 <br />Publicize information on fair housing laws and refer all complaints to the US Department of <br />Housing and Urban Development, ECHO Housing, and the California Department of Fair <br />Employment and Housing. The City will provide information about Fair Housing Policies in a <br />variety of languages and formats to ensure it is accessible to all residents, including print and <br />electronic versions. <br /> Responsible Agency: Planning Division, Housing Division <br /> Time Period: Prepare information in multiple languages (second quarter 2025); provide <br />materials on the City’s website and distribute though various outlets (second quarter <br />2025), update and re-distribute material regularly but no later than every three years <br />(second quarter 2028 and 2031) <br /> Funding Source: Planning Division Budget, Housing Division Budget <br /> <br />Program 7.4 <br />As part of the City’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) efforts, identify and adopt specific <br />practices and strategies to foster greater inclusivity and equity in access to all City programs and <br />services, including housing- and human services programs. Such strategies will include <br />developing improved partnerships with community serving organizations and consulting on ways <br />to better reach traditionally underserved populations and build community relationships, fostering <br />greater diversity among City staff and appointed officials who develop and implement City <br />programs, and ensuring public outreach is available in multiple languages. <br /> Responsible Agency: Planning Division, Housing Division <br /> Time Period: Begin no later than March 2023 and continue throughout the planning period <br /> Funding Source: Planning Division Budget, Housing Division Budget <br /> Quantified Objective: Convene City-led working group including City departments and <br />outside agencies for bi-annual coordinating meetings starting in 2023 (i.e., first meeting <br />held no later than September 2023) <br /> Geographic Targeting: Efforts are aimed to better reach, engage, and represent <br />traditionally underserved populations in Pleasanton, including non-English speakers <br /> <br />
