This chapter includes <br />provisions for declaring a water shortage emergency, determining customer use reductions, water use <br />regulations and restrictions, and compliance and enforcement. When a water shortage is determined, the <br />City will coordinate with Zone 7, the region's other water service providers, and the County for the <br />possible proclamation of a local emergency in accordance with California Government Code, California <br />Emergency Services Act (Article 2, Section 8558). <br />In a duly noticed meeting, the City Council will determine whether a water shortage emergency condition <br />exists and, if so, the degree of the emergency and what regulations and restrictions should be enforced <br />in response to the shortage.
