Public Comments <br /> STAFF RECOMMENDATION <br /> Staff recommends that the Planning Commission: <br /> 1. Adopt a resolution recommending that the City Council approve amendments to the <br /> General Plan, the Downtown Design Guidelines, and the Downtown Hospitality <br /> Guidelines; rescind the 2002 Downtown Specific Plan; and adopt the updated Downtown <br /> Specific Plan. <br /> 2. Adopt a resolution recommending the City Council adopt an ordinance approving changes <br /> to the zoning designations for certain properties. <br /> 3. Adopt a resolution recommending the City Council adopt an ordinance approving <br /> amendments to the Pleasanton Municipal Code. <br /> 4. Adopt a resolution recommending that the City Council certify the FEIR for the Downtown <br /> Specific Plan Update; make findings related to significant impacts and alternatives; adopt <br /> a Statement of Overriding Considerations; adopt the Mitigation Monitoring Reporting <br /> Program; and adopt a water supply assessment. <br /> Downtown Specific Plan Planning Commission <br /> 2 of 15 <br />9 <br />n the agenda — Speakers are <br /> encouraged to limit comments to 3 minutes. <br /> PUBLIC HEARINGS AND OTHER MATTERS <br /> 2. Downtown Specific Plan Update—To review, consider, and recommend adoption of: (1)the updated <br /> Downtown Specific Plan; (2) various amendments to the General Plan, Downtown Design Guidelines, <br /> Downtown Hospitality Guidelines, and Municipal Code regulations; (3) modifications to land use <br /> designations for certain properties within the specific plan area; and review, consider, and recommend <br /> certification of the Final Environmental Impact Report for the updated plan. <br />
