PAP-127 (Appeal of PAP-123/PDR-715) TIMELINE <br />Mr. Iserson made the determination to process the <br />grading and landscape buffer at a Zoning <br />Administrator level; to which the Johnston's agreed to <br />since they did not believe a City Council hearing was <br />necessary. <br />Applicant was informed of the requirement for a <br />Design Review permit at a Zoning Administrator level. <br />February 1, 2008 Applicant filed an application for the rear yard <br />improvements. <br />February/March 2008 Staff from Planning and Building and Safety Division's <br />conducted field review and took photos of the subject <br />property. <br />Internal discussion on whether the application should <br />be elevated to the City Council and discussions on a <br />compromise for planting. <br />Staff spent time working with the applicant regarding <br />plan adequacy. <br />April 16, 2008 ZA public hearing #1: Discussion with neighbors and <br />applicant regarding concerns from the neighbors and <br />the applicant. <br />April 30, 2008 ZA public hearing #2: Discussed the outcome of the <br />ZA site visits and the request was made to the <br />applicant to provide a list of plants and trees that Staff <br />and the neighbors could review. <br />July 10, 2008 ZA public hearing #3: The Zoning Administrator <br />approved the applicants request subject to the <br />conditions in Exhibit B, which included replacing the <br />buffer with 24" box evergreen trees and providing <br />lower canopy planting to ensure that adequate privacy <br />will be provided. <br />July 18, 2008 Johnston's filed appeal of Zoning Administrators <br />Action <br />September 10, 2008 The Planning Commission held a public meeting <br />regarding the neighbor's appeal of the Zoning <br />Administrators conditions of approval.
