ATTACHMENT 12 <br />PAP-127 (Appeal of PAP-123/PDR-715) TIMELINE <br />Date Activity <br />December 6, 2007 Over the counter approval from Planning and the <br />Building and Safety Division's for the construction of a <br />4-foot tall retaining wall with fill for a proposed pool. <br />December 12, 2007 Over the counter approval received from Planning <br />and the Building and Safety Division for the <br />construction of a pool. <br />Beg. of January 2008 Applicant began the construction of the pool and <br />removal of the landscaping that was located along the <br />western portion of the property. <br />January 17, 2008 Code Enforcement received complaints from <br />neighbors regarding removal of landscaping and <br />grading without city approval. Neighbor was unaware <br />of what the owner was doing and wished to see <br />plans. Note was left on owner's door to contact Code <br />Enforcement. <br />January 18, 2008 Code Enforcement spoke to Mr. Jeffery who said he <br />had approval to install the pool and would show the <br />plans to the neighbors. Code Enforcement conducted <br />research to determine what other approvals may be <br />needed. <br />January 25, 2008 Code Enforcement advised the Zoning Administrator <br />of the issue and advised the owner by phone to stop <br />work until necessary approvals were obtained. <br />End of January 2008 Former Planning and Community Development <br />Director, Jerry Iserson, spoke to the Johnstons' who <br />agreed to let the pool construction, which included <br />excavation, move forward. <br />Staff reviewed historical information for Vintage <br />Heights II and found that all regrading applications are <br />required to go to the City Council. <br />Mr. Iserson contacted all parties for feedback as to <br />process and received comments that they believed <br />they could work together and that it was unnecessary <br />to go to City Council. <br />1 of 3 <br />
