Mr. Swift indicated that Greenbriar and Kaufrnan and Broad both intended to build all <br />175 units allocated this year. With respect to the affordable housing units, permits are expected <br />to be taken for the apm'tments next month. That would be 100 of the 116 units allowed. The <br />remaining sixteen units are part of the duet units to be intermixed with other projects. He <br />believed all the affordable units will have building permits taken out. Only time will tell whether <br />all 175 units will actually proceed. <br /> <br />Mayor Pico declared the public heating open. <br /> <br /> Karl Geier, 1331 N. California, Suite 500, Walnut Creek, counsel for New Cities <br />Development Group, indicated Fred Bates has sent a letter of support for the Growth <br />Management Committee and staff recommendations for growth management allocation. <br /> <br />There being no further speakers, the public heating was closed. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Ms. Ayala, seconded by Mr. Dennis, to adopt Resolution No. <br />01-040, approving the 2001 growth management allocations pursuant to the staff <br />recommendation. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Ayala, Campbell, Dennis, and Mayor Pico <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Michelotti <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br /> Mayor Pico said he will be surprised if the 350 unit goal is reached this year, however it <br />is worth noting the allocation is half of the 800 units allocated in 1992. <br /> <br />Item 6g <br />Approval of work plans and schedules for Ci~.
