Report~ .Be: Volunteer Firemen <br /> Mr. Edgar presented his report dated September 4, 1975, regarding this matter, <br />for the information of the Council. <br /> <br /> Councilmember McLain suggested that the time period for volunteer participa- <br />tion be reviewed, and also that the make up of the Oral Board with respect to <br />interviewing volunteer firefighters be reviewed with an eye to including a <br />Veteran Volunteer Firefighter. <br /> <br />Matters for the Information of the Council <br /> Mr. Edgar presented the draft report on Solid Waste Management Plan and stated <br />that Council comments should be made by the first meeting in October regarding <br />this report. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF THE CITY ATTORNEY <br />Report~ Re: SurveZ and Site Plan Ordinance <br /> Mr. Scheidig presented his report dated September 3, 1975, regarding this <br />matter. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember McLain, and seconded by Councilmember Herlihy, <br />that Ordinance No. 769, to be read by title only and waiving further reading <br />thereof, amending in its entirety Article 3 (Survey and Site Plan with Applica- <br />tion for Building Permit), Chapter 3 (Building Code), Title II (Zoning and <br />Development), of the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton, relating to <br />survey and site plans, be introduced. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Herlihy, LeClaire, McLain, Philcox, and Mayor Kinney <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />COMMUNICATIONS <br />Letter from C. Wo Blackburn <br /> Mr. Edgar presented his report dated September 2, 1975, regarding Mr. Black- <br />burn's request for four sewer connection permits on Palomino Drive. <br /> <br /> Mr. C. W. Blackburn, 3890 Yosemite Court, presented background information <br />on the lot in question, and his reasons for requesting the sewer connections. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember LeClaire, and seconded by <br />Councilmember McLain, to deny the request of C. W. Blackburn for four sewer <br />connection permits for a four unit lot on Palomino Drive in Pleasanton. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Herlihy, LeClaire, McLain, Philcox, and Mayor Kinney <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> Councilmember Herlihy stated that COVA's Secretary had contacted him re- <br />garding Pleasanton's consent to place two items on COVA's agenda, as follows: <br />(1) E1 Charro Road; and (2) Gravel Pits. Council concurred these items should <br />be discussed by COVA. <br /> <br /> Councilmember LeClaire reports on Redevelopment Meeting by citizen groups, <br />and stated that a statement would be read by CARD at the Chamber of Commerce <br />meeting on September 9, 1975. <br /> <br /> Councilmember McLain asked if the Rock, Sand and Gravel Committee should <br />discuss E1 Charro Road as well as Reclamation Plants. Council concurred these <br />matters were appropriate for discussion at the Rock, Sand, and Gravel meeting. <br /> <br /> Mayor Kinney reported on the Mayors' Conference meeting of September 3, <br />1975, at which time the Solid Waste Management Plan was presented. <br /> <br /> Mayor Kinney advised he had been appointed by the Mayors' Conference to <br />the San Francisco Bay Air Quality Maintenance Task Force. <br /> <br /> 9/8/75 <br /> <br /> <br />
