SPECIAL REPORTS Discussion~ Re: Existin5 Holding Tanks for Commercial and Industrial Properties in the Sunol Service Area Councilmember Herlihy stated that due to increased costs of Holding Tank dumping, he would like to discuss the feasibility of allowing the franchisee to dump into the Sunol Plant, using existing Commercial allocations. After discussion, Councilmember Herlihy requested a report from staff re- garding the economic impact of allowing existing Holding Tanks to dump into the Sunol Plant; how many Holding Tanks in the Sunol area; and how many Holding Tanks in the VCSD area, for further review by the Council. Report, Re: Possible Exemptions to Ordinance No. 825, and other Properties Affected Mr. Harris presented his report dated July 6, 1977, regarding this matter. He'also presented two letter from J. Jack Bras, dated July 6, and July 8, 1977, requesting exemption from Ordinance No. 825 and the Growth Management Plan for Savco Construction Sonoma Drive PUD, and Romey Apartments. Mr. Robert R. McLeod, 2901 Ptarmigan Drive, #1, Walnut Creek, asked what he should do to apply for exemption on his 97 acre parcel of property at Foothill Road and Bernal Avenue. Council advised him to wait and apply for exemption under the Growth Management Program. Council instructed staff to notify Mr. MeLeod when the Growth Management Plan would be considered by Planning Commission and City Council. Councilmember Mercer suggested that City Council notify in the newspapers that anyone requesting exemption from Ordinance No. 825 to write the Council of their reasons'for such a request within thirty days after adoption of the Ordinance. After discussion, Council determined to take no action on this matter. Adoption of Ordinance No. 825~ amending Section 2-2.40, Article 4 (Tentative Map.)~ Section 2-3.03~ Article 5 (Minor Subdivisions)~L and adding Section 2-10.14 to Article 19 (Design Review)~ Title II (Zoning and Development) of the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton (Introduced 6-27-77 by a 4-0 vote) It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember LeClaire, that Ordinance No. 825, amending Section 2-2.40, Article 4 (Tentative Map), Sec- tion 2-3.03, Article 5 (Minor Subdivisions), and adding Section 2-10.14 to Article 19 (Design Review), Title II (Zoning and Development), of the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton, be adopted.
