SPECIAL REPORTS <br />Discussion~ Re: Existin5 Holding Tanks for Commercial and Industrial Properties <br />in the Sunol Service Area <br /> Councilmember Herlihy stated that due to increased costs of Holding Tank <br />dumping, he would like to discuss the feasibility of allowing the franchisee <br />to dump into the Sunol Plant, using existing Commercial allocations. <br /> <br /> After discussion, Councilmember Herlihy requested a report from staff re- <br />garding the economic impact of allowing existing Holding Tanks to dump into the <br />Sunol Plant; how many Holding Tanks in the Sunol area; and how many Holding <br />Tanks in the VCSD area, for further review by the Council. <br /> <br />Report, Re: Possible Exemptions to Ordinance No. 825, and other Properties <br />Affected <br /> Mr. Harris presented his report dated July 6, 1977, regarding this matter. <br />He'also presented two letter from J. Jack Bras, dated July 6, and July 8, 1977, <br />requesting exemption from Ordinance No. 825 and the Growth Management Plan for <br />Savco Construction Sonoma Drive PUD, and Romey Apartments. <br /> <br /> Mr. Robert R. McLeod, 2901 Ptarmigan Drive, #1, Walnut Creek, asked what <br />he should do to apply for exemption on his 97 acre parcel of property at <br />Foothill Road and Bernal Avenue. Council advised him to wait and apply for <br />exemption under the Growth Management Program. Council instructed staff to <br />notify Mr. MeLeod when the Growth Management Plan would be considered by <br />Planning Commission and City Council. <br /> <br /> Councilmember Mercer suggested that City Council notify in the newspapers <br />that anyone requesting exemption from Ordinance No. 825 to write the Council <br />of their reasons'for such a request within thirty days after adoption of the <br />Ordinance. After discussion, Council determined to take no action on this <br />matter. <br /> <br />Adoption of Ordinance No. 825~ amending Section 2-2.40, Article 4 (Tentative <br />Map.)~ Section 2-3.03~ Article 5 (Minor Subdivisions)~L and adding Section 2-10.14 <br />to Article 19 (Design Review)~ Title II (Zoning and Development) of the Ordinance <br />Code of the City of Pleasanton (Introduced 6-27-77 by a 4-0 vote) <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by Councilmember LeClaire, <br />that Ordinance No. 825, amending Section 2-2.40, Article 4 (Tentative Map), Sec- <br />tion 2-3.03, Article 5 (Minor Subdivisions), and adding Section 2-10.14 to <br />Article 19 (Design Review), Title II (Zoning and Development), of the Ordinance <br />Code of the City of Pleasanton, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Herlihy, LeClaire, Mercer, and Mayor Philcox <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />REPORTS OF BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS <br />Report, R.e: Action Taken by the Planning Commission on Items at their Special <br />Meeting of June 29., 1977 <br />Mr. Harris presented his report dated June 30, 1977, regarding this raatter. <br /> <br /> 7. 7/11/77 <br /> <br /> <br />
