Matters for the Information of the Council <br /> Mr. Brown advised that two Commissioners on the Human Services Commission <br />(Darrel Maxson and Diana Leathers), had resigned and it was in order to get <br />replacements for them. Council determined to advertise for these two Human <br />ServicesConnnission positions the first of September and interview candidates <br />at the second City Council meeting in September. <br /> <br /> Mr. Brown advised that the Bike Path Committee would be meeting soon and <br />asked which Councilmember would be the representative on this Committee. <br />Councilmember Brandes stated he was the Councilmember assigned to this Com- <br />mittee. <br /> <br /> Mr. Campbell stated that bids had been opened this date on the Interceptor <br />Sewer Line and Pump Stations and they were within the grant funding eligibility. <br />He advised he would have a detailed report on this matter at the next Council <br />meeting. <br /> <br /> Mr. Brown presented his report dated August 1, 1978, regarding the City <br />Council Agenda Planning Report for August, September, and October. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF THE CITY ATTORNEY <br />Weed Abatement Accountin~ for F~rcel.s 164~. 165 and <br /> Mr. Levine presented his report dated August 2, 1978, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Brandes, and seconded by <br />Councilmember Butler, that Resolution No. 78-209, confirming weed abatement cost <br />accounting on Parcels 164, 165 and 166, and instructing the Treasurer-Tax Col- <br />lector to add these costs as a lien upon these parcels on the next regular. tax <br />bill for each parcel, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Brandes, Butler, Kephart, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Canine Defecation <br /> Mr. Levine presented his report dated August 2, 1978, regarding this matter. <br /> <br /> After discussion, it was moved by Councilmember Wood, and seconded by Mayor <br />Mercer, instructing the City Attorney to draft an ordinance regarding Canine <br />Defecation for review by Council. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Brandes, Kephart, Wood, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: Councilman Butler <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />information Matter-Conflict of Interest <br /> Mr. Levine presented his report dated July 27, 1978, regarding this matter. <br />No action was required or taken by Council on this item. <br /> <br />COmmUNICATIONS <br /> There ware no Communications presented at this meeting. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL CO~,iITTEE REPORTS <br /> Councilmembers presented various Committee Reports for the information of the <br />Council. <br /> <br /> n. 8/8/78 <br /> <br /> <br />
