He advised that if there are no objections from the <br /> neighbors then this matter can be processed as a minor <br /> modification. <br /> <br /> Mayor Mercer stated several neighbors have expressed concern <br /> regarding the grading project, and he feels they should be <br /> notified. <br /> <br /> Mr. Buster McCurtain, representing the School District, <br /> stated the School District does not need a grading permit to put <br /> the dirt on school property. He advised that the School District <br /> has talked to neighbors surrounding the school. <br /> <br /> Mr. Ted Fairfield, Civil Engineer, stated that Westbrook <br /> cannot let the School have the dirt without City approval. He <br /> requested Council to allow the dirt to be moved. <br /> <br /> Ms. Diane Nichlos, representing Westbrook Housing Group, <br /> stated they are in the process of obtaining a grading permit to <br /> legally move the dirt from their property to the school site. <br /> <br /> Mr. Elliott advised that the grading permit has been issued. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by <br />Councilmember Mohr, that the modification to PUD-84-5 (Kottinger <br />Ranch) - open space grading, be processed as a minor modification. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Mohr, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmembers Brandes and Tarver <br /> <br />MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCILMEMBERS <br />item 8a <br />Park and Recreation Commission Appointment <br /> Mayor Mercer presented his memorandum dated May 2, 1989, <br />stated that he would like to appoint Steven Krahnke to a second <br />term on the Park and Recreation Commission. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Butler, and seconded by <br />Councilmember Mohr, that Resolution No. 89-204, confirming the <br />reappointment of Steven Krahnke as a member of the Park and <br />Recreation Commission for a four year term, said term to expire <br />February 15, 1993, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Butler, Mohr, and Mayor Mercer <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmembers Brandes and Tarver <br /> <br />item 8b <br />Housinq Authority Commission Tenant Term Expiration <br />Mayor Mercer stated the term of Marion Lowe as tenant <br />representative on the Housing Authority Commission will expire May <br /> <br /> - 10 - 5-2-89 <br /> <br /> <br />
