101 <br /> <br />Livermore Airport Committee <br /> <br /> Mr. Mercer stated that the Livermore Airport Committee, <br />consisting of Livermore residents and pilots, have submitted a <br />staff report which indicates that the Livermore airport would put <br />in certain restrictions and suggestions to pilots. He added that <br />some residents from the northern part of Pleasanton have <br />complained that some airplanes have been taking off and flying too <br />low over the residential areas. These have been reported to the <br />airport. He indicated that the Committee was to meet again in six <br />months to evaluate the matter and requested staff to contact Mr. <br />Gene Maestes, Livermore Airport Manager, and find out when the <br />meeting will be so that the Pleasanton residents serving on the <br />Committee can be reconvened to discuss the matter. <br /> <br />Baseball for Disable Youth <br /> <br /> Mr. Brandes requested the Park and Recreation Commission to <br />look into a baseball group for disabled youth formed by the cities <br />of Danville, San Ramon, Pleasanton, Dublin, Livermore and Sunol <br />and consider recommending a City contribution of $1,000 to the <br />program. <br /> <br />County Drug-Free Program <br /> <br /> Mr. Tarver stated that Contra Costa County recently had a <br />meeting and came up with an action plan to work with the cities in <br />addressing a drug-free county. He requested staff to get some <br />information on the matter to develop a similar program for Alameda <br />County. <br /> <br />9. CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE REPORTS <br /> <br /> There were no City Council Committee reports presented at <br />this meeting. <br /> <br />10. MATTERS CONTINUED FOR DECISION <br />Item 10a <br />RZ-89-17, Tri-Mesa Development Company, Application to Rezone an <br />Approximately 50,250 sq. ft. Parcel Located at 417 Sycamore Road <br />from the "A" (Agricultural) District to the R-i-iO,O00 (Single- <br />Family Residential) District and the R-1-8,500 (Single-Family <br />Residential) District or to Any Other Zoning District Consistent <br />with the General Plan <br /> <br /> Mr. Swift presented his report (SR 90:39) regarding the <br />matter. <br /> <br /> Mr. Mercer declared the public hearing open on the <br />application. <br /> <br /> Mr. Don Temple, 6409 Alisal Street, stated that at the time <br />that the North Sycamore Specific Plan (NSSP) was first being <br />developed, it was perceived that parcels already in the City <br /> <br /> -13- <br /> 2-20-90 <br /> <br /> <br />
