100 Item 8e Vacancy on the Housinq Authority Commission Tenant Representative Mr. Mercer indicated that there would be a vacancy on the Housing Authority Commission for a Ridge View Commons representative. Item 8f Tri-Valley Transportation Council Mr. Mercer stated that a Tri-Valley transportation study done by someone from the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) has been completed and that a work program which would come out of that study would determine a cost sharing formula for the local share of freeway and road improvements for the cities of Livermore, Pleasanton, Dublin, San Ramon and Danville as well as the counties of Alameda and Contra Costa. Ms. Mohr commented that to get a group to come this far is significant and the indication that there will be more to follow is promising. It was moved by Mr. Mercer, and seconded by Ms. Mohr, to support the Tri-Valley Transportation Council report and resolution. The roll call vote was as follows: AYES: Councilmembers Brandes, Butler, Mohr, Tarver and Mayor Mercer NOES: None ABSENT: None ABSTAIN: None The Amador Valley Hiqh School Boosters Club Mr. Mercer stated that the Amador Valley High School Boosters Club is putting up a building over at the school to be used as a snack bar facility. The Club has raised close to $100,000 worth of donated goods and labor and is requesting the City, together with the School District, to provide the funding difference necessary to complete the project. He proposed that the appropriate action would be to ask the Park and Recreation Commission to look over the Club's report and send the Commission's recommendation back to Council. Cost Savinqs from Benefits Packaqe Mr. Mercer requested staff to see if there would be any cost savings from having a large scale medical/dental benefits package to include the cities of Livermore, Dublin, Pleasanton, San Ramon and Danville. -12- 2-20-90
