6.68.050 <br />no later than forty five (45) days prior to <br />the expiration of the permit. The renewal <br />application shall be processed in the same <br />manner as a new extrasensory consulting <br />Police Department permit application. <br />(Ord. 1770 § 1, 1999) <br />6.68.060 Posting Of Prices And <br />Consumer Information: <br />A. Each person operating under a Po- <br />lice Department permit issued pursuant to <br />this Chapter shall post, in a conspicuous <br />place within the business premises, a sign <br />entitled "CONSUMER INFORMATION", <br />which shall contain the following: <br />1. The true name of the extrasensory <br />consultant; <br />2. The services provided by the consul- <br />tant; <br />3. The fees charged for each of these <br />services; <br />4. The statement: "By law, this busi- <br />ness is prohibited from soliciting any fee, <br />payment, or remuneration beyond these <br />established rates"; <br />5. The statement: "By law, this busi- <br />ness is prohibited from purporting to <br />influence future events or the attitude, <br />condition or behavior of any natural per- <br />son, business entity, enterprise, or public <br />or governmental agency"; and <br />6. The statement: "Fraudulent or sus- <br />pect practices, or any violation of the <br />prohibitions listed, should be reported to <br />the Pleasanton Police Department at 4833 <br />Bernal Avenue, Pleasanton, CA 94566, <br />(925) 484-8134." <br />B. The letters in the sign entitled <br />"CONSUMER INFORMATION" must be <br />at least one inch (1 ") in height, and the <br />other text in the sign must be of uniform <br />size at least one-half inch ('/Z") in height. <br />C. The applicant shall inform the Po- <br />lice Chief in writing of any changes in <br />services or fees in advance of such <br />change, stating the exact date services and <br />fees will be changed. The purpose of this <br />Section is to allow verification of compli- <br />ance with the above provisions. Nothing <br />in this Section shall be construed to imply <br />that the City has the authority to regulate <br />services provided or fees charged by <br />practitioners, other than those herein pro- <br />hibited. Furthermore, nothing in this <br />Section shall be construed to prevent a <br />practitioner from accepting a gratuitous <br />tip given voluntarily by a customer out of <br />satisfaction with services provided. (Ord. <br />1770 § 1, 1999) <br />6.68.070 Exceptions: <br />A. Public Entertainment Demonstra- <br />tions: The provisions of this Chapter shall <br />not apply to any persons solely engaged <br />in a business of entertaining the public by <br />demonstrations of extrasensory consulting, <br />at public places and in the presence of <br />and within the hearing of other persons; <br />and at which no questions are answered, <br />as part of such entertainment, except in a <br />manner to permit all persons present to <br />hear such answers. <br />B. Religious Ceremonies: The provi- <br />sions of this Chapter shall not apply to <br />persons engaged in extrasensory consult- <br />ing as part of a religious ceremony or <br />service, when such person holds a certifi- <br />cate of ordination as a minister, mission- <br />ary, medium, healer or clairvoyant, (here- <br />inafter collectively referred to as <br />(Pleasanton 5-99) 192_$$ <br />
