2. Re4ading of Minutes <br /> <br />Unless the reading of the minutes of the City Council meeting is requested <br />by a Council member, the minutes may be approved without reading if the <br />Clerk has previously furnished each Council member with a copy. <br /> <br />Audio tape recordings of meetings <br /> <br />It is the policy of the City Council to record its regular meetings on audio <br />cassette tape. <br /> <br />a. Ngt official records <br /> <br />The audio tapes of the Council meetings are not the official record <br />of those meetings. Pr~iding Officer <br /> <br />The Mayor, if present, ~ali preside. In the Mayor's absence, the Vice-Mayor <br />shall preside. In the absence of both, the Council members present shall elect a <br />Presiding Officer. <br /> <br />The Presiding Officer shall preserve order and decorum at all meetings of the ' <br />Council, announce its decisions on all subjects and decide all questions of ordex, <br />subject, however, to an appeal from Council Members. <br /> <br />Any Council member desiring to speak sl~ali first be recognized by the Presiding <br />Officer and shall, with the exception of the Meeting Open to the Public, confine <br />any remarks to the subject under consideration. <br /> <br />C.
