The water service plan for the remaining portions of the Happy Valley which lie beyond
the Golf Course Properties is described on pages 18-20 of the September 4, 1996,
City/Neighborhood meeting staff report.

Sanitary Sewer

The closest gravity sanitary sewer line is located at the intersection of Amber Lane and
Sycamore Road with an invert elevation of 377.5. An eight-inch sanitary sewer main
extension is proposed along Sycamore Road and Alisal Street to the Golf Course site.

However, extension of the line in Sycamore Road from Amber Lane to Alisal Street at
a minimum slope would have an invert elevation of 384.0 at Alisal Street. The ground
elevation at this location is 414 which would result in a 30-foot deep sanitary sewer. A
sanitary sewer of that depth is not recommended and could not be extended by gravity
to the Golf Course. Adequate slope would require an invert of 396 at the intersection
of Alisal Street and Happy Valley Road where the minimum invert needs to be 386
(existing ground is 390) for minimum pipe cover. Therefore, a pump station near the
lowest elevation of 380 on Alisal Street where the street is in the east/west direction
(2,500 feet south of Sycamore Road) would be required to serve the Golf Course.

The sanitary sewer plan for the remaining portions of Happy Valley which lie beyond
the Golf Course Properties is described on pages 15-17 of the September 4, 1996,
City/Neighborhood meeting staff report.

What are the planned City/Neighborhood meeting dates for the next four months?

Staff will prepare a calendar of meeting dates and mall it to all Happy Valley property
owners/residents following the City Council priority-setting workshop when it is
scheduled to prioritize staff time for the various upcoming City projects. Meetings will
continue to be scheduled for Thursday nights as requested by the Neighborhood.

What is the anticipated schedule for completing the Bypass Road through the North
Sycamore Specific Plan area ?

Greenbriar Homes recently submitted a development application to the City for the
former School District property and two other smaller properties in the North Sycamore
Specific Plan (NSSP) area. It plans to construct the "East/West Collector" through part
of the NSSP area, starting at Sunol Boulevard and extending to the eastern edge of the
School District property. Greenbriar would like to begin project grading in the spring
of 1998, and finish construction of its portion of the "East/West Collector" in the spring
of 1999.

3
