2-01 B Construction Area Traffic Control Devices <br />Add: <br />Construction signs shall not block sidewalks or bike lanes wherever feasible. <br />The contractor shall be responsible for maintenance of any and all traffic control devices <br />that are required by the approved Traffic Control Plan. The contractor shall ensure that all <br />devices are maintained in the proper location during holidays, overnight, and on weekends. <br />Should it be necessary to use City forces to maintain the traffic control devices, the <br />contractor will be billed at the overtime rate for two (2) technicians and a vehicle, with a <br />minimum of two (2) hours per incident/call. <br />2-01C Haul Routes <br />Replace with: <br />Haul routes to access the location of work are included in the Project Plans. <br />2-01 D Traffic Control Plan <br />Add: <br />For work in City streets, the Contractor shall provide a detailed site-specific traffic control <br />plan including pedestrian, bicyclist, and disabled person's accessibility plan for review and <br />comment by the City Traffic Engineer. No work shall commence until the traffic control <br />plans have been reviewed and commented by the City Traffic Engineer. <br />The time frame for city review and comment on the Traffic Control Plan shall be 14 <br />calendar days for each Plan submitted. <br />2-01E Traffic Control Restrictions <br />Add: <br />The City reserves the right to adjust the traffic control including lane closure hours and <br />the number of traffic lanes closed. <br />One sidewalk shall be available for pedestrians at all times. Contractor may occupy <br />closed sidewalks 24 hours per days until work is complete with the exception of work at <br />5050 Humingbird Road where sidewalk can only be occupied from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily. <br />Pedestrian routing requiring crossing of Valley Avenue shall occur at the nearest <br />crosswalk. <br />When school is in session as defined by the Pleasanton Unified School District calendar, <br />one traffic lane may be closed within Valley Avenue from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. No lane <br />closure is permitted outside of these hours. <br />Valley Avenue Soundwall Repair Project (REBID), CIP No. 18437 <br />Page 57 <br />
