1-15 Easements, Right of Way, and Right of Entry <br />greXA <br />All work shall be performed from City's Right of Way, which shall be assumed to be <br />the street side of soundwall at all locations. <br />The Contractor shall not enter or occupy any property on the private side of the <br />soundwall without first obtaining a right of entry agreement with the property owner. <br />1-16 Lines and Grades and Construction Staking <br />Replace with the following: <br />The Contractor shall be responsible for establishing all lines and grades for the project <br />as shown and indicated in the Contract Documents, including all construction staking. <br />The Contractor shall be responsible for the accuracy of all construction staking. <br />All work shall be done in accordance with the lines, grades and elevations shown on <br />the Plans. Staking and marking shall be provided in accordance with Section 5-1.26, <br />"Construction Surveys," of the State Standard Specifications. Stakes and marks shall <br />be carefully preserved by the Contractor. <br />The Plans have been developed using City GIS data, including utility information and <br />aerial imagery. The Contractor shall follow the process below to validate the horizontal <br />and vertical alignment along the pipeline alignments. <br />1. Call in Underground Service Alert to identify existing utilities. <br />2. Review Plans, mark out proposed pier locations and develop pothole plan. <br />Submit pothole plan and schedule to City. <br />3. Excavate potholes to verify utility and its horizontal and vertical location. <br />4. Using the pothole data, verify pier locations defined in the Plans and submit <br />proposed modifications to the City for approval. Allow 10 working days for <br />City review and approval. <br />1-20 Permits and Licenses <br />Replace the section entirely as follows: <br />Contractor shall be responsible for obtaining and paying for all necessary permits, <br />including all required City permits. The Contractor and all subcontractors shall also be <br />required to obtain City of Pleasanton Business Licenses. Prior to the start of any work <br />for this project, the contractor shall apply for and obtain a "no fee" encroachment <br />permit from the City of Pleasanton's Department Engineering, at 200 Old Bernal, <br />Pleasanton, CA. <br />Valley Avenue Soundwall Repair Project (REBID), CIP No. 18437 <br />Page 53 <br />
