Full compensation for conforming to the provisions herein, including but not limited to <br />the City Business License fee, shall be considered as included in the contract prices <br />paid for the various contract items of work and no separate payment shall be allowed <br />therefor. <br />1-33 Measurement and Pavment <br />Replace the section entirely as follows: <br />Measurement and payment for bid items are described in this section. Full <br />compensation for Work not appearing as a specific bid item but required by the <br />Contract Documents shall be considered as included in the contract unit price paid for <br />the various items of work and no additional compensation will be allowed therefore. <br />Measurement and payment descriptions within the various sections of the City Standard <br />Specifications for the various items of work shall not apply. <br />1-33A Bid Item Measurement and Payment Descriptions <br />Furnishing all labor, supervision, materials, tools, equipment, and incidentals for <br />the following work shall be considered as included in the various bid items <br />involving sanitary sewer work including but not limited to pipe replacement and <br />installation, manholes, structures, demolition, alteration, reconstruction <br />abandonment and restoration, and no additional compensation will be made <br />therefore: <br />1. All property coordination and notification to residents, businesses, public <br />transit officials, emergency service officials and other affected entities; <br />protection of existing facilities and improvements; pre -construction <br />documentation, reporting and preservation; all permit acquisitions. <br />2. Planning, designing, engineering, preparation of submittals, furnishing, <br />installing, and constructing and removing and disposing of all temporary <br />sheeting, shoring, and bracing of excavations as required but not limited to the <br />provisions of any permits, in accordance with the requirements of OSHA, the <br />Construction Safety Orders of the State of California, and pursuant to the <br />provisions of Sections 6700 through 6708 of the California Labor Code. <br />3. Any necessary potholing and excavation to locate existing utilities potentially <br />affected by the excavation, and horizontal directional drilling work. <br />4. Preparation of submittals and resubmittals, maintaining and preparing record <br />drawings. <br />5. Construction and project signage; dust control; street sweeping; restoring <br />existing roadways, sidewalks, and fields to pre -construction conditions. <br />6. Base Bid, Bid Alternate A, and Bid Alternate B limits of work are as shown on <br />Plan Sheets C-1 & C-2. <br />Valley Avenue Soundwall Repair Project (REBID), CIP No. 18437 <br />Page 54 <br />
