Contractor's Department of Industrial Relations Registration <br />A bid will not be accepted nor any contract entered into without proof that the bidder and <br />its subcontractors are registered with the California Department of Industrial Relations to <br />perform public work pursuant to Labor Code Section 1725.5, subject to limited legal <br />exceptions. <br />Discrepancies in Bid Proposals <br />In the event there is more than one bid item on a Bid Proposal form, the Bidder shall <br />furnish a price for all items and failure to do so will render the Bid Proposal non- <br />responsive and may cause its rejection. In the event there are unit price bid items on a <br />Bid Proposal form and the "amount" indicated for a unit price bid item does not equal the <br />product of the unit price and quantity, the unit price shall govern and the amount will be <br />corrected accordingly. In the event there is more than one bid item on the Bid Proposal <br />form and the total indicated on the Bid Proposal form does not agree with the sum of the <br />amounts bid on the individual items, the price bid on the individual items shall govern <br />and the total on the proposal will be corrected accordingly. <br />Bid Security <br />Each Bid Proposal shall be accompanied by cash, a cashier's check or a certified check, <br />amounting to ten percent (10%) of the Bid, payable to the order of the City of Pleasanton <br />or by a bond for that amount and so payable in the form contained in this bid package. <br />The amount so posted shall be forfeited to the City if the successful bidder does not, <br />within ten (10) working days not including Saturday, Sunday and legal holidays after date <br />of postage of mailed written notice that the contract has been awarded, enter into a <br />contract with the City for the work. <br />After the contract is duly entered into by the successful bidder, the amount of the deposit <br />will be returned to the Bidder. All certified checks, cashier's checks, and cash deposits of <br />the unsuccessful bidders will be returned to the bidders within two (2) weeks after the <br />contract is entered into by the successful bidder. <br />Miscellaneous <br />For requirements on Bidder's examination of site, withdrawal of proposals, and <br />disqualification of bidders, refer to Section 2 of the Standard Specifications of the State <br />of California. <br />Valley Avenue Soundwall Repair Project (REBID), CIP No. 18437 <br />Page 20 <br />
