City Council Minutes Page 4 of 6 May 20, 2025 <br />2.Approve and authorize the Public Works Director to execute contract <br />change orders not to exceed $70,000 (approximately 10 percent of the <br />contract cost) for any unforeseen conditions and additional needs identified <br />during the design and implementation phase. <br />11.Approve the use of the remaining project funds of $72,860 as additional <br />construction contingency to construct a connection to the Firehouse Arts Center <br />parking lot from First Street, along with additional parking for the Lions Wayside <br />and Delucchi Parks Renovations project, CIP No. 06716, for a total project <br />contingency amount of $450,460 <br />Recommendation: Authorize the City Manager, or authorized staff, to approve and <br />execute contract change orders for an additional $72,860, for a total project <br />contingency amount of $450,460, for the bid alternate work, parking lot connection, <br />and other necessary related work. <br />MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br />12.Presentation of a Proclamation declaring May 2025 as Mental Health Awareness <br />Month <br />The proclamation was presented to representatives of NAMI. <br />13.Public Comment regarding items not listed on the agenda – Speakers are limited to <br />3 minutes. <br />Mayor Balch opened public comment. The following individuals provided comment: <br />Kelly Cousins, Mary Brito, Diane Catalano Rodriguez, Delia Muniz, Jim Lehrman, <br />Doug Miller, Prachi Jain, Kunal Jain, Asim Ruhela. <br />Mayor Balch closed the public comment. <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS AND OTHER MATTERS <br />14.Continued from May 6, 2025 - Receive annual Military Equipment Use Report for 2024; <br />introduce an ordinance amending Ordinance No. 2279 to amend the Pleasanton Police <br />Department's Military Equipment Use Policy to add equipment to the Policy's military <br />equipment inventory; and adopt a resolution accepting the annual Military Equipment <br />Use Report for 2024 determining that the Police Department's use of military equipment <br />in 2024 complied with the standards of approval and renewing the Military Use Policy <br />Recommendation: Receive annual Military Equipment Use Report for 2024; introduce <br />Ordinance No. 2294 to amend the Pleasanton Police Department's Military Equipment <br />Use Policy to add equipment to the Policy's military equipment inventory; and adopt <br />Resolution No. 2025-022 accepting the annual Military Equipment Use Report for 2024
