City Council Minutes Page 5 of 7 January 21, 2025 <br />Recommendation: Receive Water System Activities Update. <br />Presentation by Siew-Chin Yeong, Director of Public Works, and Ryan Smith, <br />Assistant Director of Public Works. <br />Mayor Balch opened public comment. There being no speakers, Mayor Balch <br />closed the public comment. <br />Mayor Balch called a recess at 8:52 p.m. and reconvened at 9:00 p.m. <br />18.Continued from November 19, 2024 - Accept the Final Water System Management Plan <br />dated October 2024 <br />Recommendation: Approve the 2024 Water System Management Plan dated October <br />2024. <br />Presentation by Ryan Smith, Assistant Director of Public Works, Todd Yamello, Utilities <br />Manager, and Tim Loper (Carollo Engineers). <br />Mayor Balch opened public comment. There being no speakers, Mayor Balch closed <br />the public comment. <br />MOTION: It was m/s by Gaidos/Eicher to approve the item as recommended. Motion <br />passed by the following vote: <br />Ayes: Councilmembers Eicher, Gaidos, Nibert, Testa, Mayor Balch <br />Noes: None <br />Absent: None <br />3.Approve a one-year agreement with the Pleasanton Downtown Association for 2025 <br />and allocate funding for a City match of 50 percent of the 2025 Business Improvement <br />District assessments <br />Recommendation: Approve a one-year agreement with the Pleasanton Downtown <br />Association for 2025 and allocate funding for a City match of 50 percent of the 2025 <br />Business Improvement District assessments. <br />Mayor Balch opened public comment. The following individuals provided comment: <br />Mike Madden, Bruce, Gene Finch. <br />Mayor Balch closed the public comment. <br />MOTION: It was m/s by Gaidos/Eicher to allocate funding for a City match of 100% of <br />the 2025 annual assessment revenue generated by the businesses within the <br />downtown. Motion passed by the following vote: <br />Ayes: Councilmembers Eicher, Gaidos, Nibert, Testa, Mayor Balch <br />Noes: None <br />Absent: None <br />Page 9 of 749
