Similarly, extending the contract term for an additional year and increasing the
annual contract maximum from $100,000 to $150,000 for Fiscal Year 2025/26 (and for the two
remaining one-year extensions, if those are elected) will continue to provide this flexibility.

EQUITY AND SUSTAINABILITY
Well-maintained roadways provide safe and reliable transportation for all residents and
businesses, including pedestrians, cyclists, transit users, and drivers, and support access to
essential services such as schools, healthcare, and employment centers. As well, maintaining
roads in good condition helps to reduce fuel consumption and vehicle wear, providing cost
savings for vehicle operators.

OUTREACH
No outreach was conducted, as this is a routine matter of City business.

STRATEGIC PLAN ALIGNMENT
Approval of this action advances the ONE Pleasanton Strategic Plan goals of Investing in Our
Environment by effectively managing existing facilities through maintenance and repair and
Funding our Future by optimizing the use of City funds.

FISCAL IMPACT
The increase in contract maximum does not require additional funding to be allocated, as
funding is available in various annual capital projects including Traffic Button and Line Marker,
Traffic Calming, Street Resurfacing, and Pedestrian and Bicycle Improvements. This as-
needed contract is utilized as funding is available and work is performed in accordance with
these annual Capital Improvement Program projects.

Prepared by: Submitted by: Approved by:

Mark Candland Ellen Clark, Director of Community
Development

Gerry Beaudin, City
Manager

Attachments:
1.
