Subject:
FW: Lund Ranch II
From: jroberth
Sent: Sunday, November 15, 2015 4:25 PM
To: Mayor and City Council
Subject: Lund Ranch II
Mayor and Council Members,
SUPPLEMENTAL MATERBft,_
Provided to the City Counci
After Distribution of Packet
Date -2 j(
Tuesday nights vote is so important for the residents of Junipero Street and all the kids that use it as
their corridor to and from the two schools, Pleasanton Middle School and Phoebe Hearst elementary
School and use the Mission Park for practice or just playing.
I get upset when I hear Sycamore Heights or the Bridle Creek residents talk about traffic. There's no
comparison to the amount of cars that now use Junipero Street compared to their quiet
neighborhood. I know this because my wife and I walk through their area at least twice a week. They
like to say that "Sycamore" has more traffic then Junipero Street. They won't say Sycamore Creek
Way because that would be untrue, but will use the count on Sycamore Road after it joins with
Sycamore Creek Way. This is after Sycamore Road traffic of 1540 ADT are added to their traffic
count.
Sycamore Creek Way was constructed by the City of Pleasanton to handle 9000 ADT per Mike
Tassano (June 8, 2006 Happy Valley Blue Ribbon Committee meeting). That's why it has no parking
on the street and bike lanes. No homes on most of the south side of the road.
Sunset Creek Lane will have four different ways to exit to Sycamore Creek Way. Hanifen Way,
Dalton Creek Way, Sunset Brook Way and Summit Creek Lane, there by splitting the traffic
load. Sunset Creek Lane also has no home for the first three plus block on it's north side. No
Parking could be added here if needed.
Please stop this before someone is hurt or worse.
See you all Tuesday night.
Jay Hertogs
301 Junipero Street
Click here to report this email as spam.
t
