<br />The Town Council of the Town -of Pleasanton met on October 4th, at 7:30 o'clock with
<br />acting Mayor Ambrose Rivolta presiding. Present at roll call were 0ouncilmen Madsen,
<br />Amaral, Olesen and Rivolta. Councilman Orloff was absent.
<br />The,' minutes of the September 7th and 13th meeting were adopted as
<br />read'.
<br />The Clerk then presented Claims No. 114 to 144 inclusive amounting

<br />The claims were referred to the finance committee for audit and
<br />reports-
<br />The Clerk then presented the following reports of the municipal
<br />officers:
<br />Water Department: - -Show ing that the water had been turned on at 2 places and Cf f at 3
<br />Places. Repaired,7 meters, and installed meter for Holly Sugar Company, Main Street.
<br />The report showed that there were 429.' taps in town and 38 outside of town. The re were
<br />4.98 services in town (On 460, Off 38) and 42 services outside of torn (On 38, Off 4)
<br />total number of services 540: The report showed that the income from the department.
<br />amounted to $1061:00 and the expenses amounted to $320.921 leaving a total over and -
<br />above expenses'$740.08. The total hours pumping-210 and the total gallons water pumped
<br />6,300,000.
<br />Town Clerk: -- Showing that he had delivered 468 water bills for collection, amounting to
<br />1291:65. The balance cash on hand per last report amounted to $8536.29 and since then
<br />the following oollections had been made: licenses from Marshal $164.00, taxes from
<br />Marshal $66.63, special - Engineer $2.30, water bills from Marshal $1050.65, water
<br />bills from Engineer $12.0, milk inspection fees from Marshal $39.66; fees from Hecorderb
<br />Court $45.00.. From Town Clerk: Interest- -Virst National Bank of Pleasanton $3.75,
<br />State of California, apportionment of Motor Vehicle taxes $79 -.389 making a total of
<br />$9988.86, leas amount of warrants issued September 7, 1937, $1375-75, leaving a cash
<br />balance in the hands of the Treasurer of $8613.11. his was divided as follows:
<br />General Fund $7744.07, dater Bond Fund $227098, City Hall Bond Fund $13:47, 1929 Munici-
<br />pal Improvement Bond Fund $413044, Municipal Improvement Bond Fund $214.15.
<br />Superintendent of Streets: -- Showing that work on the streets of the `i'own of Pleasanton
<br />for the month of September amounted to $45.75
<br />Town Marshal: -- Showing that he received 468 water bills from the Clerk amounting to
<br />1295.65, He collected water .bills amounting to $1050:65 and returned water bills
<br />amounting to $245.00. He also collected licenses amounting to $164.00 as follows:
<br />12 licenses Off $12.00 -- $144.009 1 license @ $20.00 -- $20.00. He also collected Milk
<br />Inspection fees amounting to $39.66. He also collected taxes amounting to $66.63:
<br />Treasurer: - -The Water Deposit Fund had $102.00 on hand, less amount of warrants
<br />issued in the amount of $10.00, leaving $92900 in the Water Deposit Fund. There was
<br />$15.99 in the Water Surplus Fund. No receipts received during the month. The Curb
<br />and Gutter Project r'und had $151.97 on hand. No receipts received during the month.
<br />The Treasurer had on hand in the General Fund $8536.29 and since then $1452.57 had
<br />been collected, making a total of $9988:86, less amount of warrants issued $1375-75,
<br />leaving $8613.11 in the hands of the Treasurer:
<br />City Judge:- -The report showed that $45.00 had been collected in fines during the month
<br />of September.
<br />Health Officer -- Showing report of activities during the month of September, 1937:
