Orloff presiding. Present at roll <br />call were :Councilman Madsen, Rivolta, Olesen, Amaral and Orloff. <br />'City "Attorney Nilson appeared before the Council with regards to the slopewall <br />matter. He advised that a restraining order had been issued against the Town of <br />Pleasanton and that a hearing to show cause had been set before Judge T. W. Harris, <br />in Court No. 1 for Thursday afternoon, April 23d at 2 o'clock. He further advised <br />that Ih- s.Lucas, who had a deed of trust -on the CrS:Richards property was claiming <br />that her security in the property.had been interferred with and that the property <br />value had been lessened. Attorney Nilson also advised with regards to other <br />matters set forth in the complaint. He then took up with the Council the matter <br />of extra work as regards presenting the matter to the court and the probability <br />that additional fees would have to be asked.in connection with this additional work. <br />Mayor Orloff expressed himself as being willing to have additional legal expenses <br />satisfied for providing no unnecessary work became involved in the matter. The <br />Council concurred with Mayor Orloff and accordingly it was so ordered. <br />The Council then took up the matter of the municipal election on Tuesday, <br />April 14th. The Clerk presented 10 Absent Voters' ballots which were publicly <br />opened before the Council and with Mayor Orloff reading off the ballots and the <br />Clerk acting as Clerk for same. The absent voters' ballots received gave the <br />following count:for Councilmen, Peter C. Madsen 9 votes, Thos. Orloff 8 votes, <br />Ambrose Rivolta 8 votes; for Treasurer, T.H.Silver 8 votes and Clerk, Ernest W. <br />3chween 10 votes. The Clerk then,read Resolution 1584, a resolution declaring <br />the result of the election.
