V. Title II, Chapter 8, Article 3, paragraph 2-15.29 provides that <br /> the City may issue a special discharge permit upon a proper showing and under <br /> such conditions as City deems necessary. <br /> <br /> Said Waste Discharge Permit is issued subject to the following <br /> <br />conditions: <br /> <br /> 1. Compliance with Standards. Except as specifically modified <br />herein, Owner shall abide by all provisions of Article 3, Chapter 8, Title II <br />of the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton as they now exist and any <br />amendments thereto. <br /> <br /> 2. Tenn. This permit shall be valid for a period of three {3) <br />years from the date of its issuance. <br /> <br />3. Specific Limitations. In lieu of and in addition to the <br />requirements of Article 3, the following requirements shall be adhered to: <br /> <br /> a. pH. The p)! of Owner's waste discharged to the City <br />sewers shall be maintained between 7.0 and 9.0. <br /> <br /> b. Sulfides. The waste discharged by Owner shall not contain <br />or cause to be generated hydrogen sulfide to the extent that odor nuisance or <br />dan~ge to sewers and other structures occurs in the sevyerage system, or causes <br />the City to be in violation of its sewerage agreement with DSRSD. <br /> <br /> 4. The speci. fic limitations contained herein may be modified at <br />any time by the City should Owner's waste discharge, in City's sole opinion, <br />prove to be detrimental to the DSRSD Treabnent Plant, or any portion of the <br />City's collection system, or create a public nuisance, or cause the City to <br />be in violation of any discharge requirements imposed by DSRSD, E~DA, RWQCB or <br />any other agency. Upon written notification by the City that any of the above <br />conditions exist, Owner shall immediately cease discharge and take whatever <br />measures are necessary to meet any modified limitations before recommencing <br />discharge. <br /> <br /> -2- <br /> <br /> <br />
