Payment of up to five (5) days accumulated vacation, said payment to be made at the end of the calendar year provided the employee's current year's vacation entitlement has been used and provided that the total amount of accumulated vacation is in excess of twenty (20) days. Holidays shall be as set forth in Section 1109 of the Personnel Rules except that; the state-wide election day is deleted and a floating holiday substituted, and Veterans' Day shall be observed on the eleventh day of the eleventh month. Uniform Allowance. A uniform allowance of $225 per year will be paid for those fire department management employees required to wear a uniform. Vehicle Usage/Allowance. Unrestricted use by the Chief of Police of a vehicle furnished by the City, provided the Chief of Police licenses said vehicle and pays for any gasoline related to the personal use thereof. An automobile allowance is optionally available for all management employees except the Chief of Police, Police Research and Training Assistant, and Accounting Supervisor, under criteria established by the City Manager. During the term of this document the following positions shall receive an automobile allowance: Director of Public Works and Utilities, Assistant to the City Manager, Chief Building Inspector, Director of Planning and Community Development, Director of Recreation and Human Resources, and Director of Finance. The monthly automobile allowance shall be $150 per month and payment of 21¢ per mile for all miles traveled on City business outside the Livermore/Amador Valley. For said automobile allowance and mileage reimbursement employees shall use their personal vehicles for City business. K. Retirement System. All management employees shall be members of the State Public Employees Retirement System (PERS).
