Section 14. Uniforms <br /> <br />The City shall provide all necessary safety and protection clothing, <br />as defined by the City Manager. The City shall provide fifty per- <br />cent (50%) of the initial purchase price of uniforms for those <br />employees required to wear a prescribed uniform. <br /> <br />14.1 <br /> <br />Uniform Allowance <br /> <br />Effective January 1, 1982, the uniform allowance shall be increased <br />to Three Hundred Fifty Dollars ($350.00) per year, such allowance to <br />be paid in one payment in April. Effective January 1, 1983, said <br />uniform allowance shall be increased to Four Hundred Dollars ($400.00) <br />per year. <br /> <br />Section 15. Credit Union <br /> <br />The City shall offer a voluntary payroll deduction option for those <br />employees who wish to Join the City and County Employees Credit Union <br />and/or Operating Engineers Credit Union for the purposes of trans- <br />acting business with such credit unions. <br /> <br />Section 16. Educational Incentive Pay Program <br /> <br />16.1 Purpose <br /> <br />The purpose of this plan is to reward those eligible employees having <br />obtained a specific level of educational achievement in an area re- <br />lated to their job and, in so doing, have become better qualified to <br />discharge the duties of their respective positiohs. <br /> <br />16.2 <br /> <br />Eligible Applicants <br /> <br />Persons eligible to enroll in the Educational Incentive Plan have <br />met all of the following requirements: <br /> <br />Are permanent (non-probationary) employees with the City of <br />Pleasanton. (Employees on probationary status as a result <br />of promotions shall be deemed eligible under this plan.) <br /> <br />Have met all requirements of their position as set forth in <br />the City's Classification Plan in effect at the time the <br />employee was hired. <br /> <br />Intend to pursue an educational level related to his/her <br />present position as determined by the Educational Standards <br />Committee. <br /> <br />All new employees hired by the City after the date of adoption <br />by the City Council of this revised Educational Incentive Plan <br />shall be eligible for <br /> <br />-13- <br /> <br /> <br />
