Notice of the public hearing shall be given <br />pursuant to the provisions of the Williamson <br />Act, specifically Sections 51230 and 51232 of <br />the Government Code. <br /> <br />The City Council shall establish, modify, or <br />disestablish agricultural preserves by resolution. <br /> <br />Disestablishment of an agricultural preserve <br />shall be the equivalent of a notice of non- <br />renewal by the City, and the City shall <br />follow the notice requirements for non- <br />renewal actions. <br /> <br />A map of all agricultural preserves established, <br />together with the resolution number establishing <br />them shall be filed by the City with the <br />county recorder and shall be kept current. <br />On or before the first day of September of <br />each year, the Director of Planning and <br />Community Development shall file with the <br />Director of Food and Agriculture a map of the <br />City designating thereon all agricultural <br />preserves in existence at the end of the <br />preceding fiscal year. <br /> <br />D. Restriction of Use <br /> <br />Lands within agricultural preserves will be <br />restricted to agricultural uses, as defined <br />in the Act, and compatible uses, including <br />agricultural use, recreational use, and open <br />space use as more particularly set forth in <br />the Agricultural Preserve Overlay District. <br /> <br />The execution of contracts is intended for <br />all properties located within a preserve. <br /> <br />The City Council may establish uniform conditions <br />within any preserve. <br /> <br />III. Contracts <br /> <br />A. Execution Procedure <br /> <br />The procedures contained in the Williamson <br />Act, as amended, shall apply to contracts <br />entered into by the City of Pleasanton and <br />owners of lands situated within an agricultural <br />preserve and devoted to agricultural use, as <br />defined in the Act. <br /> <br />-4- <br /> <br /> <br />
