provide fire safety services to the Project or made reason- <br /> <br />ably necessary by the cumulative development of major co~aer- <br />cial and industrial projects in the City of Pleasanton (the <br />"Fire Safety Services Requirements"). <br /> <br /> 1.2 Developer 'and the City acknowledge that <br />Ryland Research, Inc. has prepared for 'the City a study of <br />the City's fire safety requirements, which study, dated <br />February 15, 1982, is entitled "Preparation of a Comprehen- <br />sive Fire Protection and Medical Service Plan"(the "Ryland <br />Study"). The Fire Safety Services Requirements described in <br />Paragraph 1.1 shall be determined on the basis of the <br />requirements identified in the Ryland Study as necessary to <br />maintain existing levels of fire Safety services in. accor- <br />dance with the Pleasanton General Plan and as reasonably <br />deemed necessary bythe City. <br /> <br /> 1.3 Developer further agrees to participate <br />in the financing of the Fire Safety Services Requirements in <br />whichever manner, as reasonably determined by the City, best <br />achieves the maintenance of existing levels of fire safety <br />services. The City intends to finance th~ Fire Safety <br />Services Requirements through the use of assessment dis- <br />tricts or specialbenefit districts to the extent reasonably <br />feasible and permitted under California law as reasonably <br />determined by the City. <br /> <br />-3- <br /> <br /> <br />
