Section 17. Uniforms <br /> <br />The City shall provide at its expense required protective <br />clothing and footwear. For new employees the City shall <br />pay fifty percent (50%) of the cost of original uniform <br />requirements: three (3) shirts, three (3) pants, belt, <br />boots, and any other required uniform. <br /> <br />Uniform changes initiated by the City shall be made at <br />the expense of the City. <br /> <br />All employees covered by this agreement shall wear the <br />same unifo'rms. <br /> <br />Effective April 1, 1979, those employees required to <br />wear prescribed uniform shall receive an annual uniform <br />maintenance allowance of $190.00 payable on April 1 <br />of each year; provided, however, that if the payment <br />date follows by less than six (6) months the date of <br />appointment of such an employee, no such uniform mainte- <br />nance allowance for said employee shall be forthcoming <br />until the succeeding annual payment date. <br /> <br />Section 18. Credit Union <br /> <br />The City shall implement a voluntary payroll deduction <br />option for those employees who wish to join the City and <br />County Employees Credit Union for the purposes of trans- <br />acting business with such City and County Employees <br />Credit Union. <br /> <br />Section 19. E~Fcational Incentive Pay_Progra~ <br /> <br />19.1 Purpose <br /> <br />The purpose of this plan is to reward those eligible <br />employees having obtained a specific level of educa- <br />tional achievement and, in so doing, have become <br />better qualified to discharge the duties of their <br />respective positions. <br /> <br />19.2 <br /> <br />Eligible Applicants <br /> <br />Persons eligible to enroll in the Educational Incentive <br />Plan shall have met all of the following requirements: <br /> <br />Are permanent (non-probationary) employees with the <br />City of Pleasanton. (Employees on probationary <br />status as a result of promotions shall be deemed <br />eligible under this plan.) <br /> <br /> <br />
