- 2 - <br /> <br /> ~EREAS, it is to the mutual benefit of CITY and ZONE 7 to carry out <br />certain work efforts on a cooperative basis; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, based on the foregoing mutual understandings, ZONt 7 <br />and CITY agree as follows: <br /> <br />I. Responsibility of ZONE 7 <br /> <br /> A. ZONE 7 agrees to allow CITY to design, administer and construct a <br /> <br />12-inch ductile iron pipe water line to replace an existing ZO~ 7 8-inch <br />above-ground steel pipeline and a telemetry conduit within the same trench. <br />Said lines shall be located within the same easement as the existing 8-inch <br />pipeline from Well No. 3 to Well No. 4, as shown on attached map (Exhibit "A"). <br />The existing 8-inch pipeline shall be removed upon acceptance of new 12-inch <br /> <br />water line. <br /> <br />In furtherance thereof, ZONE 7 agrees to do the following: <br /> <br />Review and approve water line and telemetry conduit plans and <br />specifications. <br /> <br />2. Inspect the construction of water line and telemetry conduit <br /> unless this function is delegated to CITY. <br /> <br />Pay the CITY, upon billing, for two-thirds the cost of design <br />and construction of said 12-inch water line and for the full <br />cost (100%) of design and construction of the telemetry conduit. <br />Design costs are to be based upon CITY's agreement with their <br />design consultant, Ruth and Going, Inc., dated June 8, 1982 <br />(Exhibit "B," Section IV.A., pg. 4). Bids for the above work <br />shall be submitted to ZONE 7 for approval by its General Manager <br />prior to award of c~nstruction contract. Construction costs are <br /> <br /> <br />
