City Council Work Plan for 2009 -2010 <br /> As of April 22, 2009 <br /> Goals Project Description <br /> BERNAL PROPERTY <br /> Develop Bernal Community Park <br /> Bernal Property Creek Restoration /Mitigation The project creates a riparian habitat by meandering the existing creek <br /> through the Bernal Property and planting of native plant species. <br /> Bernal Community Park Phase I Involves the design and construction of approximately 13 acres of the <br /> proposed 50 -acre community park planned for the central parcel of the <br /> Bernal Property. Improvements will include two lighted baseball <br /> diamonds, a casual use field, paved central plaza area, children's play <br /> apparatus area, restrooms, parking and other related improvements. <br /> Bernal Community Park Phase 11 Begin detailed planning, for Phase 11 Bernal Park improvements which will <br /> include a combination of lighted sports fields and possible open space <br /> features. Incorporate shade structures as necessary. <br /> GENERAL PLAN <br /> Complete a comprehensive General Plan update and pursue long -term advanced planning activities <br /> General Plan Update Process various elements include: This project includes an update to the General Plan consistent with the <br /> 1. Vision /Mission Statement process and schedule as approved by the City Council. <br /> 2. Land Use Element <br /> 3. Circulation Element <br /> 4. Public Safety Element <br /> 5. Public Facilities Element <br /> 6. Conservation and Open Space Element <br /> 7. Noise Element <br /> S. Air Quality Element <br /> 9. Community Character Element <br /> 10. Economic and Fiscal Element <br /> 11. Subregional Planning Element <br /> 12. Energy Element <br /> 13. Water Element <br /> Vineyard Avenue Realignment Issues Resolution of issues relative to the realignment of Vineyard Avenue. <br /> General Plan Implementation Ensure consistency between the General Plan Land Use Map and the <br /> zoning designation for all properties within the City's sphere of influence <br /> and implement various elements of the General Plan. <br /> East Side Specific Plan Prepare a Specific Plan for East Pleasanton as a coordinated effort <br /> between commercial and residential property owners, major stakeholders, <br /> and the Pleasanton community, including residents of East Pleasanton. <br /> Hacienda Business Park Work with the Hacienda Owners Association to prepare a comprehensive <br /> planned unit development amendment for the Hacienda Business Park <br /> with special emphasis on creating a mixed -use, pedestrian friendly area <br /> around the East Dublin /Pleasanton BART Station. <br /> A -1 <br />
