• o
• I felt very inspired to look into different careers or subjects relating to government
and I'm very interested to look into different part time jobs in the parks and rec
department
• It really helped me understand how important and hardworking our government is
• Pretty informative, better involvement than just hearing about it
• I really liked it
• I thought it was very informative of the things I can do in my future
• It was a great experience. I learned things I didn't even know.
• The library upkeep and organization are qualities which are needed in governing
issues etc.
• I am very happy with my experience and I learned so much on working in city
government
• I really like it
• Officer Batoy, Officer Paulson, Chief Fraser, Captain Finn and Lt. Walsh and the
others were so nice and answered all my questions. Thanks!
2. What did you like about YIG
• It really allowed me to connect with a person what was highly ranked in the
district becoming a teacher or principal is also what I want to do when I grow up
and this experience really inspired me
• The chance to shadow my opinions and experience the city hands on
• The experience was amazing and it helped me see how people in my community
help make it better
• I enjoyed interacting with adults in my district. I also really liked that they listened
to our ideas
• It was interesting to job shadow a person whose job I might want to have when I
grow up. It was also fun sharing my thoughts on the community and listening to
their thoughts as well
• I liked talking with students from other schools and getting ideas from them as
well; my job shadow was a good way to learn about our school district
• I like the fact that we have the opportunity to job shadow someone who does the
type of job that we want to do
• I got to get to know the people who run my town. I really liked seeing how they
worked, and having it presented to e exactly what they do
• I loved learning about what it takes to become a teacher. I also loved meeting
the little kids at Mohr
• The job shadowing and being able to get a good idea about a lot of jobs offered
in government
• I really enjoyed the luncheon as well as the format of the discussion group
• I had fun on my shadow
• My job shadow was extremely down to earth and nice. It was a good experience
to see and hear about Pleasanton first hand
