Strategic Goals / Strategies <br /> <br />Facilities <br /> <br />Goal: <br /> <br />To provide quality facilities to accommodate programs/activities/services. <br /> <br />Objectives: <br /> <br />Expand existing Senior Center to accommodate additional parking and <br />classroom, multi-use daytime/evening use. <br /> <br />Expand Dolores Bengston Aquatic Center to include a therapeutic pool. <br /> <br />Expand/identify facilities with access/education to computer <br />technology / communications. <br /> · Develop collaborations with public/private providers. <br /> <br />Work with CityPlanning Department to develop design criteria for new <br />community parks/facilities to accommodate the changing sensory/physical <br />needs of mature adults, i.e. , high level lighting, backed seating, three <br />(3) wheeler access, signage/posting heights. <br /> ° Consider beyond the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) <br /> requirements to include specific criteria for mature adults. <br /> <br />Continue to explore opportunities to provide affordable housing <br />choices/options for mature adults. <br /> <br /> <br />
