Strategic Goals / Strategies (~o~unuea) <br /> <br />Programs / Services <br /> <br />Goal: <br /> <br />To provide quality programs/services for mature adults within a wide age range, <br />with diverse interests,cultural backgrounds, varied incomes and lifestyles. <br /> <br />Objectives: <br /> <br />Broaden partnerships with churches, assisted living /congregate living <br />facilities, public/private agencies and organizations, businesses, hospitals, <br />and special interest groups to expand variety/options, times/days for Senior <br />Center, offsite and in-home programs/services/activities. <br /> · Expand opportunities for voluntary education, i.e., photography, <br /> music, song, dance, history, languages, car repair, gardening, etc. <br /> · Expand opportunities for interactive/creative day supportive <br /> programs. <br /> · Expand therapeutic, rehabilitation services. <br /> · Expand volunteer opportunities. <br /> <br />Develop culturally diverse programs/activities/services. <br /> · Develop links/collaborations with local ethnic/religious <br /> organizations. <br /> · Develop language (oral/written) interpretation resources. <br /> · Incorporate customs/beliefs, food, costumes, art and entertainment <br /> into special events, classes, and other programs. <br /> <br />Create/broaden travel program to include domestic/international, <br />day and multi-day opportunities. <br /> <br />Develop/broaden support group program to include, but not limited <br />to, chronic illness, special interests, loss/grieving, aging, <br />hearing / sight impairment, parenting again, and caregivers. <br /> · Continue to develop links to existing providers to educate <br /> community about resources, create more days/meeting times <br /> and locations, and implement new groups. <br /> <br /> <br />
