Section 15. Credit Union <br /> <br />The City shall offer a voluntary payroll deduction option for those <br />tnp!oyees who wish to join the City and County Employees Credit Union <br />and/or Operating Engineers Credit Union for the purposes of trans- <br />acting business ~.~ith such credit unions. <br /> <br />Section 16. Educational incentive Pay Program <br /> <br />16.1 Purpose <br /> <br />The purpose of this plan is to reward those eligible employees having <br />obtained a specific level of educational achievement in an area re- <br />lated to their job and, in so doing, have become better qualified.to <br />discharge the duties of their respective positions. <br /> <br />16.2 <br /> <br />E!izible Aoolicants <br /> <br />Persons eligible to enroll in the Educational Incentive Plan have <br />met all of the following requirements: <br /> <br />Are permanent (non-probationary) employees with the City of <br />Pleasanton. (Employees on probationary status as a result <br />of promotions shall be deemed eligible under this plan.) <br /> <br />Have met all requirements of their position as set forth in <br />the City's Classification Plan. in effect at the time the <br />e:np!oy~a was hired. <br /> <br />Interd to pur~sue an educational level related to his/her <br />present position as determined by the Educational Standards <br />Corr~nittee. <br /> <br />All new employees hired by the City after the date of adoption <br />by the City Cou:~ci! of this revised Educational Incentive Plan <br />shall be etiZible for <br /> <br />-13- <br /> <br /> <br />
