RESOLUTION NO. 09-268 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON, <br />ADOPTING THE STONERIDGE DRIVE SPECIFIC PLAN AMENDMENT/ <br />STAPLES RANCH <br />WHEREAS, the City prepared a Draft Stoneridge Drive Specific Plan <br />Amendment/Staples Ranch to address future development patterns on the 124 -acre <br />Staples Ranch property "Project the last remaining undeveloped portion of the original <br />293 -acre Stoneridge Drive Specific Plan area, bounded on the north by 1 -580 and the City <br />of Dublin, on the east by El Charro Road and the City of Livermore, and on the south by <br />the Arroyo Mocho channel and unimproved quarry lands; and <br />WHEREAS, the proposed Specific Plan Amendment/Staples Ranch calls for a <br />variety of active and passive public recreational uses, open space, trails, and other <br />recreational amenities, as set forth more particularly in the Plan Amendment <br />documents; and <br />WHEREAS, on February 3, 2009 and on February 24, 2009, the City Council <br />received the Planning Commission's positive recommendation for approval of the <br />Project and, on those dates, received reports from the City staff concerning the Project; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, on February 3, 2009 and on February 24, 2009, the City Council <br />conducted a public hearing on the Project, took testimony from members of the public, <br />and considered the recommendations of the City staff concerning the Project; and <br />WHEREAS, on February 24, 2009, the City Council certified the Final EIR for <br />the Project, finding that the Final EIR was complete, adequate and in compliance with <br />CEQA; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the Project, with the revisions in Exhibit B, <br />is consistent with General Plan. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE, AND ORDER <br />THE FOLLOWING: <br />SECTION 1. Adopts the Stoneridge Drive Specific Plan Amendment/Staples <br />Ranch, attached as Exhibits A and B, which Specific Plan Amendment includes the full <br />extension of Stoneridge Drive, with turn lanes and two bridges over the Arroyo Mocho, <br />from its current terminus east of Trevor Parkway to El Charro Road. <br />1 <br />
