as necessary to complete a Noise Element, including a complete <br />review and revision, as necessary, of the City's existing Noise <br />Element. Professional acoustical assistance shall include, but <br />not be limited to, the following: <br /> <br /> (a) Act as acoustical consultant, under the direction <br />of the General Plan Coordinator, in undertaking the work program <br />required to produce a Noise Element which meets all the <br />requirements outlined in the California Noise Element Guidelines. <br />Tasks to be performed by the Consultant include, but are not <br />limited to the following: <br /> <br />Task 1: Produce pencil line noise exposure contours on base <br /> maps furnished by the City for all freeways, primary <br /> arterials, major local streets, railroads and airports <br /> within the Pleasanton Planning Area as required by <br /> Section 65302(a) of the California Government Code. <br /> Contours will be produced in terms of CNEL in increments <br /> of five decibels down to 60 CNEL for the time meriods <br /> 1984, 2010 and General Plan buildout. Consultant may <br /> utilize existing data from the NPID EIR and other <br /> noise studies, provided that it conforms with state <br /> requirements. For those sources of noise and those <br /> locations for which contours have not been developed, <br /> Consultant will undertake a program of noise ~rediction <br /> coupled with validation measurements, where necessary, <br /> to produce any necessary contours in conformance with <br /> state requirements. <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br /> <br />
