The proposed use permit application would amend the previous conditional use permit <br />approval by adding an after school daycare progrtrrt; thus, a conditional use permit is required. <br />II. SITE DESCRITION <br />The Santa Rita Office Center occupies an approximately 4.3-acre site on the southeast corner of <br />Stoneridge Drive and Santa Rita Road. The office center contains nine buildings, totaling <br />approximately 55,000 squaze feet of building area.. Existing businesses within the office center <br />are a mix of office uses. <br />The Pleasanton Community Church occupies two of the nine buildings. Its sanctuary building is <br />located at 4439 Stoneridge Drive. The education building is at 4455 Stoneridge Drive at the <br />southernmost end of the site. Access driveways to the office center aze located off Stoneridge <br />Drive and Rheem Drive. <br />The subject site is surrounded by commerciaUoffice/light industrial uses to the east and south, <br />and residential uses to the north and west, across from Stoneridge Drive and Santa Rita Road. <br />III. PROJECT DESCRIPTION <br />The subject education building, aone-story building, is approximately 4,608 squaze feet in floor <br />area. It contains two Sunday school classrooms, a nursery room, a large activity room, several <br />offices, a kitchen, and two bathrooms. There are hvo building entrances. One is located on the <br />south side of the building, and the other is on the east side of the building. <br />The proposed after school daycare program would be held in the education building. Activities <br />may occasionally be held in the church's sanctuary building. The classrooms in the education <br />building would be reorganized and equipped for the proposed after school program. Specifically, <br />the two existing Sunday school classrooms would be used for after school activities, the nursery <br />room would be adapted to a homework room, and the lazge activity room would be used to host <br />group activities. <br />The proposed after school program would have a daily enrollment of 32 school children. A total <br />of three staff' members would be on-site during the business hours. The hours of operation <br />would be under 16 hours per week, and specifically, they are: <br />Monday through Friday 3:15 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. (13.75 hours) <br />The after school daycare is open to the public, offering a non-religious curriculum. Students <br />enrolled in the proposed program would primarily lre from Mohr Elementary School. They <br />would be picked up by the church van(s) in the afternoons.
