3-08 Curved Sewer Lines: <br /> <br />a) <br /> <br />Horizontally curved sewer lines will be allowed under <br />the following conditions: <br /> <br />The minimum radius of curvature shall be 200'. <br />The sewer shall be laid concentric with the street <br />curvature. <br />Manholes will be required at any point of reverse <br />curve but not necessarily at the BC or EC. <br /> <br />b) <br /> <br />Vertically curved sewer lines are permissible provided <br />no sags are created, the equivalent radius is no less <br />than 200' and the depth is kept uniform. <br /> <br />3-09 Manholes: <br /> <br />Manholes shall be placed at all intersections of sewer lines <br />(except laterals), at all vertical or horizontal angle <br />points and at intervals not greater than 350 feet. Drop <br />manholes will not be used. <br /> <br />Manholes should be installed at the end of cul-de-sacs <br />instead of risers when four or more lots can be tied directly <br />into the manhole. <br /> <br />3-10 Cleanouts: <br /> <br />A cleanout (or manhole) will be required on the main sewer <br />beyond the most upstream lateral connection to the main. <br /> <br />3-11 Service Laterals: <br /> <br />The required size of service lateral will be determined <br />by the City using a 4 inch minimum for a single residential <br />unit. Minimum cover for clay pipe on private property will <br />be 11/2 feet. Minimum cover in public right-of-way will <br />be 3 feet. A sealed wye-branch installed vertically shall <br />be placed outside the building line at the connection with <br />the building plumbing for a cleanout on all single family <br />residences. For other than single family residences <br />cleanouts to grade shall be located as directed by the City. <br /> <br />3-12 Lift-Stations or Syphons: <br /> <br />When r%quired, these will be designed on the basis of <br />criteria established by the City Engineer for each install- <br />ation. <br /> <br />3.3 <br /> <br /> <br />
