~.~ <br /> <br />Ms. Decker mentioned that after a complaint was filed, Ms. Mendez went out to the site to <br />determine the stockpiling of material. <br />Ms. Amos presented pictures taken by Ms. Mendez of her site visit. <br />Ms. Amos stated that the Building Division issued a permit for the retaining wall. <br />Ms. Decker asked why the Building Inspector was on-site with Ms. Mendez. <br />Ms. Amos sated that the Inspector was present to assist in verifying what the Building <br />Division had approved for the grading and the retaining wall permit. <br />Ms. Decker mentioned that the intended height of the retaining wall was four feet and <br />asked if that is now the height of the wall. <br />Ms. Amos clarified per the plans that the wall height was a maximum of four feet. <br />Mr. Decker asked if staff knew what the height of the retaining wall was now that it has <br />been constructed. <br />Ms. Amos did not know what the final height was, but stated that the applicant could speak <br />to that. <br />Ms. Decker asked if staff had recent photos of what the subject property currently looks <br />like. <br />Ms. Amos said that staff did not have current pictures of the yazd area. <br />Ms. Decker stated that the pool was under construction when Code Enforcement was <br />called out regazding the grading and stockpiling of material. <br />Ms. Decker mentioned that the former Director of Planning, Jerry Iserson, had determined <br />after talking with the neighbors that the pool construction could continue because their <br />concerns were with the grading, tree removal, and loss of privacy. <br />Ms. Decker determined that only a concept landscape plan had been submitted to staff. <br />THE PUBLIC HEARING WAS OPENED <br />Mr. Jeffrey asked if a staff report was completed. <br />Ms. Decker stated that a staff report was not required and therefore not provided. <br />Mr. Jeffrey stated that he would be replacing the trees with evergreen type trees and that <br />they would be planted in a tiered effect covering the whole reaz portion of the property, not <br />just along the fence. <br />ZA Hearing, PDR-715 July 10, 2008 <br />
