Approved plans and specifications, reviewed bids and awarded and authorized the City Manager to execute a construction contract to McGuire and Hester in the amount of $454,855 for the Marilyn Murphy Kane Trail Project, CIP No. 087032, authorized the Director of Community Development to approve and execute change orders not to exceed $90,971 and the transfer of $152,000 from CIP No. 047021, Bernal Property Trail Reserve, to CIP No. 087032, Marilyn Murphy Kane Trail in the amount of $500,000 Steve Brozosky said Marilyn Kane gave him the inspiration to co-author Measure V, the Bernal Property Initiative, which passed to keep housing off of the property and make amulti-use park. He discussed the design and recognized Ms. Kane for her vision and for her family donating $500,000 for the trail. 4.
