MINUTES <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />October 27, 2008 <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />Mayor Hosterman called the regular meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. and Councilmember Sullivan <br />led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />Councilmember Sullivan noted the following events: Grand Opening of Alviso Adobe <br />Community Park on October 25d'; 3rd Annual Halloween Fun Night on October 29t"; Veterans <br />Day Parade on November 2. <br />ROLL CALL <br />Present: Councilmembers Cook-Kallio, McGovern, Sullivan, Thorne, Mayor Hosterman <br />Absent: None <br />AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br />City Manager Fialho reported that staff is pulling items 4 and 16. Councilmember Sullivan <br />requested that item 13 be continued. <br />City Attorney Roush advised that a majority vote would be required to continue the item. <br />Councilmember Sullivan said he has been asking for a copy of letter received by the City on <br />May 27~" from the Pleasanton Heritage Association for one month and just now received it. He <br />wanted to review their comments and discuss them with the Association. Council briefly <br />discussed reasons for the delay and the delay impact on the project. <br />City Attorney Roush noted Councilmembers may continue an item to the next meeting or to a <br />date agreeable to the majority of the Council, and may be continued only once using this <br />procedure. He said the item was continued from the previous meeting due to there being only <br />three Councilmembers present. <br />Motion: It was m/s by Sullivan/McGovern to continue Item 13 to November 4, 2008. Motion <br />passed by the following vote: <br />Ayes: Councilmembers Cook-Kallio, McGovern, Sullivan, Thorne, Mayor Hosterman <br />Noes: None <br />Absent: None <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br />Administrative Services <br />1. Approved minutes of August 27, 2008, special and regular meeting minutes of October 7, <br />2008 (Cook-Kallio & Sullivan abstained from 10/7 minutes) <br />Community Development <br />2. Accepted actions of the Zoning Administrator and Planning Commission <br />
