Okamura <br />September 3, 1985 <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />Task 3 - Periodic Inspection <br /> <br />Make visits to the site at interval.s appropriate to the various stages <br />of construction to observe, as an experienced' and qualified design <br />professional, the progress and quality of the executed mechanical and- <br />electrical work of Contractor and to determine in general if such wQrk <br />is proceeding in accordance with the Contract Documents. CDM shall <br />not be required to make exhaustive or continuous on-site inspections <br />to check the quality or quantity of such work. CDM shall not be <br />responsible for the means, methods, techniques, sequences, or <br />procedures of construction selected by Contractor or by the safety <br />precautions and programs incident to the work of Contractor. CDM's <br />efforts will be directed toward providing a greater degree of confi- <br />dence for the City that the completed work of Contractor will conform <br />to the Contract Documents, but CDM shall not be responsible for the <br />failure of Contractor to perform the work in accordance with the <br />Contract Documents. During such visits and on the basis of on-site <br />observations, CDM shall keep the City informed of the progress of the <br />work, shall endeavor to guard the City against defects and <br />deficiencies in such work, and may disapprove or reject work as <br />fail ing to conform to the Contract Documents. <br /> <br />Task 4 - Final Inspection <br /> <br />Conduct an inspection to determine if the mechanical and electrical <br />el ements of the project are substantially complete and a final <br />inspection to determine if the work has been completed in accordance <br />with the Contract Documents and if Contractor has fulfilled all of his <br />obligations thereunder so that CDM may give written notice to the City <br />that the work is acceptable. <br /> <br />Task 5 - Prepare As-Built Drawings <br /> <br />Prepare as-built drawings of the pump station based on record as-built <br />information supplied to CDM by the Contractor as required by the <br />Contract Documents. CDM shall furnish the City one set of reproduci- <br />ble as-built drawings. <br /> <br />Task 6 - Prepare Operation and Maintenance Manual <br /> <br />Prepare an operation and maintenance manual based upon manufacturer's <br />data supplied to CDM by the Contractor as required by the Contract <br />Documents. <br /> <br />ADDITIONAL CDM SERVICES <br /> <br />CDM is available to perform additional services if requested by the <br />City.
