Replacement plants shall be of like number, type, and quality of plants being replaced or shall otherwise conform to landscape plans approved by the City's Director of Planning. Irrigation systems as are necessary to provide adequate irrigation shall be installed, maintained, repaired, and replaced, where necessary. Water necessary for irrigation shall be acquired, and paid for, by Bernal from the City. Sidewalks shall be maintained, repaired, and replaced where necessary. Section 2. MAINTENANCE OF STREET LIGHTING 2.1 Street Liqhting Maintenance Obliqation; Areas for Maintenance. Bernal shall maintain all street lighting within the following areas: 2.1.1 Interior Streets. All street lighting of interior streets to be constructed, and the entrance streets constructed as part of Assessment District No. 1982-5, whether such street lighting emanates from medians, rights-of-way adjacent to said streets, or privately owned property adjoining said streets, shall be included as street lighting to be maintained by Bernal, or pursuant to Section 9, by a property owners' association. 2.1.2 Valley Avenue. All street lighting of Valley Avenue from Bernal Avenue to the Arroyo del Valle bridge, inclusive of the intersection and the bridge, which was installed as part of Assessment District No. 1982-5, whether such street lighting emanates from the Valley Avenue median, rights-of-way adjacent to Valley Avenue, landscape easement areas owned by City and County of San Francisco, or privately owned property adjoining Valley Avenue, shall be included as street lighting to be maintained by Bernal, or pursuant to Section 9, by a property owners' association. 2.1.3 Bernal Avenue. All street lighting of Bernal Avenue from Valley Avenue to the Interstate Freeway 680 interchange which was installed as part of Assessment District No. 1982-5, in the event said street lighting should ever become the obligation of the City of Pleasanton rather than the County of Alameda, shall be included as street lighting to be maintained by Bernal, or pursuant to Section 9, by a property owners' association, provided the City shall obtain for itself or for Bernal or such property owners' association as its agent a written right of entry on such real property for such purpose from the County of Alameda. 2.2 Maintenance Requirements.
