Further, he spoke in support of the planting of trees that would remain in the range of 21-22 <br />_ feet in height, so as not to block his views of the ridge. <br />Tim Neal, 3843 Northwood Court, requested that the Commission do an analysis of the traffic signal on <br />Muirwood South to examine traffic effects, decrease the density of project by 10%, restrict single-story <br />homes to 21 feet in height, require a masonry wall, and restrict the height ofnewly-planted trees to <br />preserve views. He concluded by speaking in favor of the Merritt's continuing operation of their <br />business. <br />Laurice Hutchinson, 3938 Redwood Court, requested that if the Master-Down model was moved south it <br />would be the least likely to obscure her view in lot 37; however, she preferred asingle-story home. <br />Further, she spoke in support of open space, a block wall, and Mr. Merritt continuing operation of his <br />business. <br />Robin Neal, 3843 Northwood Court, expressed concern with her views, the traffic on Foothill Road, and <br />the number of students enrolled at schools in the azeas, especially Lydiksen. <br />David Maes, 3671 Ashwood Drive, expressed support with the single-story homes being 21 feet. <br />Further, he requested clarification from the Commission relating to lot restrictions for the placement of <br />single-family homes and future additions to single-family homes and setbacks. <br />Mr. Iserson stated that single-family homes will be placed on lots 5 - 27 with 21 feet height restrictions <br />and restrictions on tree removal from lots 5 - 17. Further, he stated that it will be disclosed to home <br />buyers that they cannot remove trees from the property. <br />Mr. Maes spoke in support of a traffic light being installed at Foothill Road and a "no-right turn on red" <br />designation. <br />Shirley Spence, 7809 Foothill Knolls Drive, spoke in favor of the Planning Commission approving the <br />application. She said that the developer cooperated with the neighbors. <br />John Villalobos, 3790 Eastwood Way, expressed concern with buses being allowed to use EVA's. <br />Further, he spoke in favor of the amenity money being used for the Alviso Adobe project for cultural <br />enhancement for children. He requested that the community have input relating to traffic designations to <br />control traffic entering from Foothill Road. He noted that the developer has worked with the neighbors. <br />Jerry Boughey, 7965 Foothill Knolls Drive, requested that promises made by the developer be kept, <br />including the single-story homes. <br />Kalli Crawford, 7959 Foothill Knolls Road, requested clarification from the developer that Lots 2 - 4 <br />will be single-story home lots, trees will be planted on custom lots, and that the dimensions of the rear <br />set-backs for custom lots would be 50 feet. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES Page 5 September 23, 1998 <br />
