PUD-98-O1 Eq_uus Heights - Dom Yu Real Estate Development <br />Application for PUD development plan approval for asix-lot custom home development <br />located on the west side of Foothill Road at Equus Court. This development plan consists <br />of a portion of a previously approved plan for this site (PUD-87-19, Yee). The 7.68 acre <br />project site is zoned PUD-LDR/RDR/OS (Planned Unit Development -Low Density <br />Residential/Rural Density ResidentiaUOpen Space) District. The Planning Commission <br />will also consider the negative declaration prepared for this project. <br />- Continued to March 25, 1998. <br />d. Altamont Rail Commuter Express Interim Station at the Pleasanton Fairgrounds <br />Jerry Iserson presented the staff report and gave the history of the application. He noted that <br />previous approval was given for this site as a temporary station. He further described the <br />proposed platform and parking area. He stated that access to the temporary station would be <br />from Pleasanton Avenue. In addition, he stated that the train would have 4 trips per day, <br />Monday through Friday, from the site with 190 to 280 passengers estimated per trip. Mr. Iserson <br />also explained the City's jurisdictional authority over this County-owned property and described <br />the efforts of the City ,the County, and ACE staff in working together on this project. <br />Mr. Iserson also noted that there have been neighborhood concerns relating to increased traffic <br />congestion and noise. Staff has, therefore, asked, and ACE has agreed to monitor the traffic <br />patterns in the area surveys in order to determine any traffic problems and, if necessary, evaluate <br />ways to mitigate it. He also stated that although there have been discussions of closing W. <br />Angela Street to through traffic, staff feel it would be premature at this time. He also pointed out <br />that by closing W. Angela Street, traffic would just detour to other nearby streets. <br />Ms. Iserson further stated that the temporary parking lot would have 462 spaces, which should <br />be more than adequate.
