o Discuss relative impacts, pursuant to requirements · of the FHPM 7-7-3, according to land use categories exposed. Produce an exposure (dosage) count of numbers of dwelling units and any other sensitive receptors for each 5 dB increment. Such an analy- sis will be conducted for one design year. All analyses of future noise will take into account area geometrics, traffic data, meteorology, road- way surface type and expected vehicular hardware actually on the road in the design year, with con- sideration given to existing and proposed federal and state noise standards. This level of detail is required by the Federal Aid Highway Program Manual, Section 7-7-3. o Discuss construction-related impacts in terms of construction equipment operations as well as altered local traffic patterns and resultant po- tential localized temporary noise intrusions. o Discuss resultant sound levels in terms of com- patibility with FHWA and City of Pleasanton ordi- nances and policies. o Develop mitigation measures to reduce construction and operating noise impacts including consideration of possible noise berms or walls, if needed; or demonstration of the lack of need for barriers, if they are not needed. Energy o Inventory existing energy use in the corridor by transportation use. o Discuss project impacts in terms of motor vehicle travel. o Evaluate project for consistency with state and Federal Energy Guidelines (including Appendix F of the California Environmental Quality Act Guidelines). o Discuss energy impacts and develop mitigation mea- sures. Cultural Resources o Summarize existing cultural resource setting based on a literature search (including consultation with Regional Clearinghouse). 10
