o Consult with Caltrans and FHWA to determine the <br /> APEI (Area of Potential Environmental Impact) as <br /> required for cultural resource analysis. <br /> <br />o Perform project area archaeological surface field <br /> reconnaissance and cultural resource survey as <br /> required by Caltrans, FHWA, and Section 106 of the <br /> National Historic Preservation Act. <br /> <br />o Evaluate project impact on significant resources, <br /> if any, in the project area. <br /> <br /> o Provide the Historic Property Survey Report to <br /> satisfy requirements of the National Historic <br /> Preservation Act. (It is not expected that this <br /> project involves any resources eligible for the <br /> National Register of Historic Places.) <br /> <br />o Discuss potential impacts and mitigation measures <br /> for archaeological resources, as necessary. <br /> <br />Visual Analysis <br /> <br />o Describe existing physical and visual setting in <br /> terms of photographic presentation of selected <br /> views of the existing interchanges and adjacent <br /> properties (up to six photographs will be provided). <br /> <br />o Describe visual impacts, particularly obstruction <br /> of public views from adjacent areas, if any. <br /> <br />o Discuss the relationship of improvements to the <br /> interchanges relevant to Scenic Highway Corridor <br /> Studies. <br /> <br />o Analyze visual impacts in terms of mass, vegeta- <br /> tion, height/bulk relationship, soil, and the color, <br /> form, and materials. <br /> <br />o Discuss expected increase in glare resulting from <br /> the project, if any. <br /> <br />o Develop mitigation measures for visual impacts, if <br /> needed. <br /> <br />Public Services <br /> <br />o Provide a general inventory of services presently <br /> available to the project area. <br /> <br />o Describe potential impacts to public services in <br /> the area, including sewer services and water supply. <br /> <br /> 1! <br /> <br /> <br />
